The Challenge

Chess academies were juggling WhatsApp, Zoom, Notion, Lichess, and spreadsheets—fragmented data, no unified roadmap, hard to track progress, run tournaments, or bill reliably.

Our Solution

An LMS purpose-built for chess schools: five role-based portals, live classroom with a synced chessboard, in-browser Stockfish practice arena, 13-level curriculum with puzzles/homework, real-time tournaments, analytics, and integrated billing—all in one board.

Implementation Story

Week 1: listened to coaches, parents, and students to map their daily pains; defined what “a good lesson” and “clear progress” mean for each role.
Week 2: drafted the unified playbook—how classes run, how homework is assigned, how progress is shown, how parents stay informed.
Week 3: piloted with one group; held live sessions, collected rapid feedback after each class, and simplified flows where people hesitated.
Week 4: trained coaches on the playbook, gave parents a quick-start guide, and ran a mock tournament to rehearse the experience end-to-end.
Week 5: rolled out to the full academy with office hours, weekly check-ins, and a clear escalation path so issues were fixed before they became habits.
Week 6: published shared dashboards and celebration emails—highlighting streaks, milestones, and tournament results—to keep everyone engaged and aligned.
